We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue
her dreams.
KCGOTR is the Kent County chapter of Girls on the Run® International, a nonprofit program designed to help pre-teen girls build confidence, strengthen their self image and develop healthy life skills.
With the help of hundreds of volunteer team liaisons and coaches, we combine training for a 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk with a series of engaging, fun lessons that inspire girls to make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others.
The program culminates with a non-competitive 5K celebration run/walk ― a capstone event that helps participants realize the power they have to achieve their goals.
